A couple years ago, I had the brilliant idea to make my own flower basket liners out of fabric so that I didn’t have to keep shelling out for those coconut coir liners. My DIY fabric liners worked fine for the first year, but by the second year, they were looking a little ragged. And after two years, they looked like this:
Yikes. So anyway, they clearly didn’t hold up as well as I had hoped. I decided to just bite the bullet and buy some professionally-made fabric flower basket liners and see if that works out better. I searched around and found some liners under the brand name “EZ Swap Pots” on Etsy. They had several different sizes, so I measured my metal basket holders and bought the appropriate-sized liners (14″). They were $14.49 each and arrived very quickly. Here is what they look like:
They have a folded section on each side with a snap, I guess so you can open it a bit wider if you have a frame that falls in between two sizes? Anyway, it is made out of a nice thick material that feels like it’s a couple layers and the edges are seamed up so they shouldn’t unravel. I am pretty happy with the way they look so far, and they fit my basket frames nicely. Hopefully they will last a good long while.
